Queer(in) Care – Teen Health Source
By Teen Health Source
Queer(in) Care is a drop-in group organized by Planned Parenthood Toronto’s LGBTQ Youth Initiative. This is a group for current and former LGBTQ2S youth in care and/or with experiences of includes youth in foster care, group homes, and adoptive families, and youth who have been incarcerated, including involuntary psychiatric hospitalization.
The group will be facilitated by 2SLGBTQ youth with lived experiences of these systems, supported by LGBTQ Youth Initiative staff. Each session will include community building, support space, and access to information and community resources.
In order to keep the space as open and inclusive as possible, the facilitators ask that current foster/adoptive parents and group home staff do not attend.
This group will run from 6-8pm on Thursdays from January 10th – March 14th in room 1077 at the Sherbourne Health Centre (333 Sherbourne Street).
Tokens and food will be provided.
